Helping Grandpa Out
The last few weeks at Grandpa's house was still full of work. We cut up the trees that we had cut down for fire wood. I don't know if anyone remembers how much fire wood Grandpa had before the blizzard, but it was a lot. Afterwards he had none, so we had to do something about that. My kids really loved chopping up the wood and stacking nice, knowing that it will keep Grandpa warm this winter. So, Grandpa build a fire this winter knowing that your grandkids helped you chop the wood. That fire should be extra warm. The other thing we started was prepping the house for painting. I say started because the rain stopped those plans. But, the deck is looking really good. Sorry that we were not able to finish. The funniest thing was Trenton wanted to use the belt sander to sand the top of the deck. Grandpa told him to hold on to it and brace himself when he was running it. Trenton turned it on and went racing down the deck. It pulled him halfway down the deck, but at least he did not let go! Well one out of two is not bad. Way to go Trenton.
