Lake Behind Mt Rushmore

In the movie National Treasure 2, they show a lake that is "behind" Mt Rushmore. This is where they climb on the rocks and reveal the City of Gold. The lake is actually 20 miles south at Custer State Park. This was one a the fun highlights of the trip. We watched the movie and walked around the lake. The crappy thing is I don't know what happened to most of the pictures.
We saw this bridge that went over the dam. The kids and I waded out to it.

It was a beautiful and peaceful lake. We watched an osprey (a fish eating hawk) circle the lake and make a few dives to catch a fish. It was really cool. It was a beautiful walk.

They kids had a blast climbing on all the rocks.

What a fun hike!
