Crazy Horse

We went to see Crazy Horse one evening. Red Cloud asked that his people be remembered in their Sacred Black Hills like the Presidents.
There are no pictures of Crazy Horse. This is a wooden carving done of him.

Of course Kylee had to find the Nose picture. She is really scaring us with her obsession with the nose pictures.

This is a really cool sculpture of two wild stallions fighting.

When Crazy Horse gets done this is what it will look like. It was started in 1948. You can see it in the background click on the picture. When it is finally finished it will be larger that any memorial, in fact Mt Rushmore will fit in Crazy Horse's head. Crazy Horse was once asked where his lands were now, after the treaty protecting the Black Hills was broken. He responded pointing, "My land is where my people are buried." That is why he is going to be pointing out over the Black Hills.
